A Song of Ascents.
Out of the depths I have cried to you, O Yahweh.
2
Lord, hear my voice:Let your ears be attentiveTo the voice of my supplications.
3
If you, Yah, should mark iniquities,O Lord, who could stand?
4
But there is forgiveness with you,That you may be feared.
5
I wait for Yahweh, my soul waits,And I hope in his word.
6
My soul [waits] for the LordMore than watchmen [wait] for the morning;[Yes, more than] watchmen for the morning.
7
O Israel, hope in Yahweh;For with Yahweh there is loving-kindness,And with him is plenteous redemption.
8
And he will redeem IsraelFrom all his iniquities.
