Sirach 29:23

23
Be content with little or much, [and you will not hear the reproach of sojourning.][fn]

Footnotes

23

This colon, absent from the major Greek uncials (B, א, A), is supported by the entire Latin manuscript tradition, the Coptic, and Greek minuscule 248, and is included in Ziegler's critical text. The loss from the uncials is explained by homoioteleuton: παροικίας (*paroikias*, "sojourning") at the end of 23b and οἰκίας (*oikias*, "house") in 24a share the same root and case ending, causing a scribe's eye to skip the entire colon.
