1 Chronicles — Footnotes
Chapter 4
4:3 — the father of Etam has a plural meaning as in 4:19 and 8:29 and may be translated as 'the founders of Etam'.
4:32 — The listing of these four cities is based on the reconstruction in CTAT. See also Joshua 19:7.
Chapter 7
7:12 — Another may have been used to refer to Dan or due to a lack of information (see HOTTP, CTAT).
Chapter 14
14:7 — This is likely the original form of the name 'Eliada' in 2Sa 5:16 and 1Ch 3:8.
Chapter 15
15:18 — LXX omits the word son. K&D assume it should be omitted also.
Chapter 20
20:3 — See Variant Exceptions in the Appendix regarding this verse.
Chapter 24
24:6 — According to this, Ithamar has eight heads each of whom will be attributed two chosen ones. (See HOTTP, CTAT)
24:23 — This text literally reads, 'and the sons of Jeriah'. However, according to CTAT, this text is corrupt. By conjecture it is assumed that originally it was close to 23:19.
