Chapter 3

3:16 — This may refer to the end of a seven day period. That is, on the seventh day.

Chapter 5

5:11 — shave [you off], literally: 'cut [you] down'. In this phrase, there is a play on words involving verse 5:1 where Ezekiel was instructed to shave his head and beard. (See HOTTP/CTAT)

Chapter 6

6:6 — made desolate, literally, 'will expiate'. The Hebrew word here is not the same as the word for desolate in verse 4. However, it sounds similar--it is a play on words.

Chapter 16

16:25 — spread your legs, literally 'opened your feet'.

Chapter 18

18:10 — this type of thing. Literally, 'from one of these'. Probably referring to the acts of violence and shedding blood that characterize this person. Also in verse 11.

18:17 — withdrawn his hand, here means 'not to punish, refrain from punishing'.

Chapter 24

24:17 — the bread of men, this refers to normal bread eaten by those who are not priests.

Chapter 26

26:1 — The actual month is not directly specified. Compare to 32:1 and 32:17.

Chapter 29

29:3 — crocodile here could be translated 'monster' or 'dragon'. See also 32:2.

Chapter 32

32:2 — Crocodile, see footnote at 29:3.

32:17 — The actual month is not directly specified here, but a month was previously indicated at 32:1. See also 26:1 for a similar case.

32:22 — their and them refer to the company.

32:25 — them refers to the multitude.

32:26 — them refers to the multitude.

Chapter 34

34:3 — the milk - the expression refers to milk and the products of milk such as butter, cheese, cream, etc.

Chapter 36

36:20 — the people. Literally, 'he' (see HOTTP/CTAT). Likely refers to the 'people of Yahweh' in this verse which is also masculine singular in form.

Chapter 44

44:7 — foreigners, literally 'sons of foreigners'.

Chapter 47

47:9 — rivers, or 'two currents [of a river]'
