Chapter 1

1:4 — some men are the same people who are referred to as 'these [men]' in verses 7, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, and 19.

1:5 — afterward, literally 'the second' or 'secondly'.

1:7 — homosexuality is literally 'having gone after different flesh'.

1:12 — hidden rocks, or coral reefs. The idea is that these men are as dangerous as rocks or coral reefs which can cause a shipwreck.
