4:1 Then Jesus was led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tried by the devil. — ->3:1
4:2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he afterward was hungry. — ->3:2
4:3 And the tempter came and said to him, If you are the Son of God, say that these stones may become bread. — ->3:3
4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man will not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. — {Ru} ->[3:4]

4:5 Then the devil takes him into the holy city; and he set him on the pinnacle of the temple, — ->3:5
4:6 and says to him, If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down: for it is written, He will give his angels charge concerning you: and, On their hands they will bear you up, Lest perhaps you dash your foot against a stone. — ->3:6
4:7 Jesus said to him, Again it is written, You will not make trial of Yahweh your God. — ->3:7
4:8 Again, the devil takes him to an exceedingly high mountain, and shows him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; — ->3:8
4:9 and he said to him, All these things I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me. — ->3:9
4:10 Then Jesus says to him, Go, Satan: for it is written, You will worship Yahweh your God, and you will serve only him. — ->3:10
4:11 Then the devil leaves him; and look, angels came and were serving him. — ->3:11
4:12 Now when he heard that John was delivered up, he withdrew into Galilee; — ->3:12
4:13 and leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the borders of Zebulun and Naphtali: — {Ous}

4:18 And walking by the sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishers. — ->4:2

4:23 And he went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and all manner of sickness among the people. — {Ou}
4:24 And the report of him went forth into all Syria: and they brought to him all who were sick, held with diverse diseases and torments, and possessed with demons, and epileptic, and palsied; and he healed them. — ->5:14
