21:1 And when they drew near to Jerusalem, and came to Bethphage, to the mount of Olives, then Jesus sent two disciples, — ->22:1

21:2 saying to them, Go into the village that is across from you+, and right away you+ will find a donkey tied, and a colt with her: loose [them], and bring [them] to me.{Ru} ->[22:2]

saying to them, Go into the village that is across from you+, and right away you+ will find a colt tied: loose him, and bring him to me.

21:3 And if anyone says anything to you+, you+ will say, The Lord has need of them; and right away he will send them.{Ru} ->[22:3]

And if anyone says anything to you+, you+ will say, The Lord has need of him; and right away he will send him.

21:4 Now this has come to pass, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet, saying,{Ou}

21:5 Tell+ the daughter of Zion, Look, your King comes to you, Meek, and riding on a donkey, And on a colt the son of a donkey.{Ou}

21:6 And the disciples went, and did even as Jesus appointed them, — ->22:4

21:7 and brought the donkey, and the colt, and put their garments on them; and he sat on it.{Ru} ->[22:5]

and brought the colt, and put their garments on him; and he sat on him.

21:8 And the most part of the multitude spread their garments in the way; and others cut branches from the trees, and spread them in the way.{Ru} ->[22:6]

And many spread their garments in the way; and others cut branches from the trees, and spread them in the way.

21:9 And the multitudes that went before him, and that followed, cried, saying, Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed [is] he who comes in the name of Yahweh; Hosanna in the highest.{Ru} ->[22:7]

And those who went before him, and who followed, cried, saying, Hosanna: Blessed [is] he who comes in the name of Yahweh; Hosanna in the highest.

21:10 And when he came into Jerusalem, all the city was stirred, saying, Who is this?{Ru} ->[22:8]

And he entered into Jerusalem, into the temple; and when he had looked around on all things, it being now evening, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.

21:11 And the multitudes said, This is the prophet, Jesus, from Nazareth of Galilee.{Ou}

21:12 And Jesus entered into the temple, and cast out all those who sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of those who sold the doves; — ->22:11

21:13 and he says to them, It is written, My house will be called a house of prayer: but you+ make it a den of robbers. — ->22:12

21:14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.{Ou}

21:15 But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children who were crying in the temple and saying, Hosanna to the son of David; they were moved with indignation,{Ou}

21:16 and said to him, Do you hear what these are saying? And Jesus says to them, Yes: did you+ never read, Out of the mouth of juveniles and nursing babies you have prepared praise?{Ou}

21:17 And he left them, and went forth out of the city to Bethany, and lodged there.{Ru} ->[22:8]

And he entered into Jerusalem, into the temple; and when he had looked around on all things, it being now evening, he went out to Bethany with the twelve.

21:18 Now in the morning as he returned to the city, he was hungry. — ->22:9

21:19 And seeing a fig tree by the wayside, he came to it, and found nothing on it, but leaves only; and he says to it, No longer from you will there be fruit, forever. And immediately the fig tree withered away.{Ru} ->[22:10]

And seeing a fig tree by the wayside, he came to it, and found nothing on it, but leaves only; and he says to it, No longer from you will there be fruit, forever. And his disciples heard it.

21:20 And when the disciples saw it, they marveled, saying, How did the fig tree immediately wither away?{Ru} ->[22:15]

And Peter calling to remembrance says to him, Rabbi, look, the fig tree which you cursed is withered away.

21:21 And Jesus answered and said to them, Truly I say to you+, If you+ have faith, and do not doubt, you+ will not only do what is done to the fig tree, but even if you+ will say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done.{Ru} ->[22:16-17]

And Jesus answering says to them, Have faith in God. Truly I say to you+, Whoever will say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea; and will not doubt in his heart, but will believe that what he says comes to pass; he will have it.

21:22 And all things, whatever you+ will ask in prayer, believing, you+ will receive.{Ru} ->[22:18]

Therefore I say to you+, All things that you+ pray and ask for, believe that you+ receive them, and you+ will have them.

21:23 And when he came into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority do you do these things? And who gave you this authority? — ->22:19

21:24 And Jesus answered and said to them, I also will ask you+ one question, which if you+ tell me, I likewise will tell you+ by what authority I do these things. — ->22:20

21:25 The baptism of John, from where was it? From heaven or from men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we will say, From heaven; he will say to us, Why then did you+ not believe him? — ->22:21

21:26 But if we will say, From men; we fear the multitude; for all hold John as a prophet. — ->22:22

21:27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We don't know. He also said to them, Neither do I tell you+ by what authority I do these things. — ->22:23

21:28 But what do you+ think? A man had two children; and he came to the first, and said, Child, go work today in the vineyard.{Ou}

21:29 And he answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented himself, and went.{Ou}

21:30 And he came to the other, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I [will go], sir: and did not go.{Ou}

21:31 Which of the two did the will of his father? They say, The first. Jesus says to them, Truly I say to you+, that the publicans and the prostitutes go into the kingdom of God before you+.{Ou}

21:32 For John came to you+ in the way of righteousness, and you+ didn't believe him; but the publicans and the prostitutes believed him: and you+, when you+ saw it, did not even repent yourselves afterward, that you+ might believe him.{Ou}

21:33 Hear another parable: There was a man who was a householder, who planted a vineyard, and set a hedge about it, and dug a wine press in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country.{Ru} ->[22:24]

And he spoke to them in parables, saying, There was a man who was a householder, who planted a vineyard, and set a hedge about it, and dug a wine press in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country.

21:34 And when the season of the fruits drew near, he sent his slaves to the husbandmen, to receive his fruits. — ->22:25

21:35 And the husbandmen took his slaves, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. — ->22:26

21:36 Again, he sent other slaves more than the first: and they did to them in like manner. — ->22:27

21:37 But afterward he sent to them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. — ->22:28

21:38 But the husbandmen, when they saw the son, said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and take his inheritance. — ->22:29

21:39 And they took him, and cast him forth out of the vineyard, and killed him.{Ru} ->[22:30]

And they took him, and killed him, and cast him forth out of the vineyard.

21:40 When therefore the lord of the vineyard will come, what will he do to those husbandmen?{Ru} ->[22:31]

What therefore will the lord of the vineyard do?

21:41 They say to him, He will miserably destroy those miserable men, and will let out the vineyard to other husbandmen, who will render him the fruits in their seasons. — {Ru} ->[22:32]

He will come and destroy the husbandmen, and will give the vineyard to others.

21:42 Jesus says to them, Did you+ never read in the Scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; This was from Yahweh, And it is marvelous in our eyes? — {Ru} ->[22:33]

Have you+ not read even this Scripture, The stone which the builders rejected, The same was made the head of the corner; This was from Yahweh, And it is marvelous in our eyes?

21:43 Therefore I say to you+, The kingdom of God will be taken away from you+, and will be given to a nation bringing forth its fruits.{Ou}

21:44 And he who falls on this stone will be broken to pieces: but on whomever it will fall, it will scatter him as dust.{Ou}

21:45 And when the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke of them. — {Ru} ->[22:34]

And when they heard his parables, they perceived that he spoke of them.

21:46 And when they sought to lay hold on him, they feared the multitudes, because they took him for a prophet. — {Ru} ->[22:35]

And when they sought to lay hold on him, they feared the multitudes.
