Abda

Abda is identified in the UPDV as the father of Adoniram, the official placed by Solomon over the men subject to forced labor.

Father of Adoniram

In the list of Solomon's administrative officers, Adoniram's lineage is noted: "Adoniram the son of Abda was over the men subject to slave labor" (1 Kings 4:6). Abda himself receives no further description; his name is preserved solely through his son's prominent role in Solomon's administration of the kingdom's labor force.
