Abdiel

Abdiel was a Gadite, known from the tribal genealogies as the father of Ahi and the son of Guni.

A Gadite in the Tribal Genealogies

The Gadite lineage records: "Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of their fathers' houses" (1 Chronicles 5:15). Abdiel occupies the middle position in this three-generation sequence — descended from Guni, and himself the father of Ahi, who held leadership among the fathers' houses of Gad. No other detail about Abdiel is preserved in the UPDV text.
