Age, Old

Age in scripture, in the sense of old age, is the season of long life — measured by years, marked by gray hairs, attended by weakness, and held out as both a covenant promise and a vantage of wisdom. Patriarchs, kings, and psalmists describe it as a stretch carried by Yahweh from the womb to hoar hairs.
