Ahasai

Ahasai (rendered "Ahzai" in UPDV) appears in the genealogical chain of Amashsai, a priestly leader who settled in Jerusalem after the return from exile. The lineage runs: "Amashsai the son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer" (Neh 11:13).

In the Post-Exilic Priestly Lists

Neh 11:13 lists the chiefs of priestly fathers' houses who resettled in Jerusalem. Ahasai (Ahzai) is identified as a mid-link ancestor in Amashsai's descent from the priestly house of Immer, connecting the post-exilic community to its pre-exilic priestly lineage.
