Ahlab

Ahlab is a city within the tribal territory of Asher whose Canaanite inhabitants were never expelled by the Israelites after the conquest.

An Unconquered Canaanite City

Ahlab appears in the account of Asher's failure to drive out the original population of its allotted territory. Judg 1:31 lists it alongside Acco, Sidon, Achzib, Helbah, Aphik, and Rehob as towns where Canaanites remained: "Asher did not drive out the inhabitants of Acco, nor the inhabitants of Sidon, nor of Ahlab, nor of Achzib, nor of Helbah, nor of Aphik, nor of Rehob."
