Ahuzzath

Ahuzzath is a companion of Abimelech, king of Gerar, who accompanied him on a diplomatic visit to Isaac.

The Embassy to Isaac

Ahuzzath appears in Gen 26:26 as part of the delegation that came from Gerar to negotiate with Isaac: "Abimelech went to him from Gerar, and Ahuzzath his friend, and Phicol the captain of his host." He is identified as Abimelech's friend, distinguishing him from Phicol, who held military command. The visit resulted in a covenant between Abimelech and Isaac at Beersheba.
