Amashai

Amashai (spelled Amashsai in the UPDV text) is a chief of a father's house who appears in the list of those who settled in Jerusalem after the return from exile. His lineage is traced through Azarel, Ahzai, Meshillemoth, and Immer. The verse that places him is Neh 11:13: "and his brothers, chiefs of fathers' [houses], two hundred forty and two; and Amashsai the son of Azarel, the son of Ahzai, the son of Meshillemoth, the son of Immer."
