Anan

Anan is one of the Jewish leaders who returned from the Babylonian captivity and affixed his seal to the covenant of renewed dedication recorded in Nehemiah. He appears in a list of signatories: "and Ahiah, Hanan, Anan" (Ne 10:26). The text gives no further information about his background or role beyond his participation in this public recommitment.
