Anatomy
The construction of the human body is addressed directly in Job's meditation on his own creation. Speaking to God about the life he received, Job says: "You have clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews" (Job 10:11). The verse describes bodily composition in two paired images — the outer layers of skin and flesh, and the inner structural framework of bones bound by sinews — framing the body as something fashioned and assembled by divine action.
