Appaim
Appaim is named only in a brief Judahite genealogy in Chronicles, as one of the two sons of Nadab. He matters chiefly because the line continues through him — his brother dies childless, and Appaim's descendants carry the family forward.
Son of Nadab
Two sons are listed for Nadab: "And the sons of Nadab: Seled, and Appaim; but Seled died without sons" (1Ch 2:30). With Seled's line cut off, the genealogy traces the family through Appaim alone: "And the sons of Appaim: Ishi. And the sons of Ishi: Sheshan. And the sons of Sheshan: Ahlai" (1Ch 2:31). No further information is given about Appaim himself; he is a hinge in a four-generation chain (Appaim → Ishi → Sheshan → Ahlai).
