Armageddon
Armageddon appears in the book of Revelation as the name of the gathering place for the kings of the earth under the sixth bowl of divine wrath. The UPDV preserves the Hebrew form of the name: "And they gathered them together into the place which is called in Hebrew Har-magedon" (Rev 16:16).
The Place of Assembly
The name Har-magedon — "mountain of Megiddo" — is given its Hebrew form explicitly in the text, marking it as a symbolic geographical designation drawn from the plain of Megiddo in ancient Israel, a site long associated with decisive battles. In Revelation's vision it is the terminus of demonic deception: spirits go out to the kings of the whole world to gather them for the battle on the great day of God the Almighty (Rev 16:14). The name carries the weight of that history, transformed into an eschatological staging ground.
