Baal-Hamon
Baal-hamon is named once, as the site of Solomon's vineyard. The umbrella also pairs it with Hammon, a town in Asher's allotment.
Solomon's Vineyard
The Song of Songs places Baal-hamon in the closing comparison between the lover and Solomon's leased vineyard: "Solomon had a vineyard at Baal-hamon; He let out the vineyard to keepers; Every one for its fruit was to bring a thousand [shekels] of silver" (Song of Solomon 8:11). The vineyard is rented out for a fixed return per keeper — the only narrative detail UPDV supplies for the place.
Pairing with Hammon
Joshua's tribal allotments name a town called Hammon along Asher's border list: "and Adbon, and Rehob, and Hammon, and Kanah, even to great Sidon;" (Josh 19:28). The umbrella collects this notice alongside Baal-hamon, treating the name as a related toponym in the northern tribal territory.
