Baal-Tamar
Baal-tamar is a place near Gibeah that figures in the civil war between Israel and Benjamin. It served as the rallying point for the Israelite forces in their decisive attack against the Benjaminites (Judg 20:33).
The Battle Line at Baal-Tamar
During the campaign against Gibeah, the Israelite army executed a coordinated maneuver: "all the men of Israel rose up out of their place, and set themselves in array at Baal-tamar: and the ambushers of Israel broke forth out of their place, even out from the clearing of Geba" (Judg 20:33). Baal-tamar marks the position where the main Israelite force reassembled while the ambush contingent advanced from Geba, completing the encirclement of the Benjaminites.
