Baara
Baara is named once, in the genealogy of the Benjamite Shaharaim, as one of his wives. The umbrella pairs the name with Hodesh, the woman named in the next verse.
Wife of Shaharaim
The Chronicler describes Shaharaim's later marriages and offspring in Moab: "And Shaharaim begot children in the field of Moab, after he had sent them away; Hushim and Baara were his wives. And he begot of Hodesh his wife, Jobab, and Zibia, and Mesha, and Malcam," (1 Ch 8:8-9). Baara is one of the two wives Shaharaim takes after dismissing his earlier ones; Hodesh is named in the very next clause as the mother of his next set of sons. The two names sit side by side in the same notice, and the umbrella collects them together.
