Barkos
Barkos is the head of a family whose descendants returned from the Babylonian exile, listed in the registers of those who came up with Zerubbabel.
Ancestor of a Returning House
Ezra's roster places Barkos between Sisera and Temah: "the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Temah" (Ezr 2:53). Nehemiah's parallel register repeats the entry word for word: "the sons of Barkos, the sons of Sisera, the sons of Temah" (Ne 7:55). The two lists preserve his memory only as the head of a returning family; no narrative attaches to him beyond these names.
