Bazlith
Bazlith is the head of a Nethinim family among the returnees from exile. He appears only in the parallel registers of those who came up from Babylon, where his name is spelled in two slightly different forms.
A Returning Nethinim Family
Ezra's roster gives the name as Bazluth, between Mehida and Harsha: "the sons of Bazluth, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha" (Ezr 2:52). Nehemiah's parallel register keeps the same neighbors but spells the name Bazlith: "the sons of Bazlith, the sons of Mehida, the sons of Harsha" (Ne 7:54). The two forms refer to the same ancestral house; nothing else is said of him.
