Beer-elim
Beer-elim is named once, in the lament that traces Moab's mourning across the breadth of its land.
A Limit of Moab's Wailing
The oracle against Moab marks the geographic reach of the calamity by tracing its cry to the borders: "For the cry has gone round about the borders of Moab; its wailing to Eglaim, and its wailing to Beer-elim" (Isa 15:8). Beer-elim stands here as one of the outer bounds to which the wail of Moab carries — paired with Eglaim — fixing it as a town on the edge of Moabite territory.
