Ben-ammi
Ben-ammi is the son born to Lot's younger daughter after the flight from Sodom, and the eponymous ancestor of the Ammonites.
Son of Lot
The aftermath of Sodom's overthrow leaves Lot in a mountain cave with his two daughters, and the daughters' scheme produces two sons. The elder's child is Moab — "And the firstborn bore a son, and named him Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites to this day" (Ge 19:37) — and the younger's follows immediately: "And the younger, she also bore a son, and named him Ben-ammi: the same is the father of the sons of Ammon to this day" (Ge 19:38). The sons of Ammon, named after him, descend from this birth.
