Beth-Emek
Beth-emek appears once in the Hebrew Bible, listed among the boundary towns of the tribe of Asher.
A City of the Territory of Asher
The name surfaces inside the Asherite border description, paired with Neiel and threaded through the valley of Iphtah-el: "and it turned toward the sunrising to Beth-dagon, and reached to Zebulun, and to the valley of Iphtah-el northward to Beth-emek and Neiel; and it went out to Cabul on the left hand," (Jos 19:27). The site marks one node along the northward turn of Asher's frontier.
