Biztha

Biztha is one of the seven Persian chamberlains who serve in the presence of King Ahasuerus.

A Chamberlain of Ahasuerus

At the king's banquet in Susa, "On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that ministered in the presence of Ahasuerus the king" (Es 1:10). The list places Biztha second among the seven, summoned with his fellow attendants to bring Queen Vashti before the king. He is named only in this notice.
