Bohan

Bohan is a Reubenite known to the UPDV not from any narrative episode but from a stone that bears his name. The "stone of Bohan the son of Reuben" sits on the line between Judah and Benjamin and is named twice in Joshua's allotment record, once from each side of the boundary.

The Stone of Bohan as a Boundary Marker

When Judah's territory is traced out, the northern border passes through Beth-hoglah and Beth-arabah and rises "to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben" (Josh 15:6). Benjamin's southern border, surveyed from the opposite direction, descends past En-shemesh and Geliloth across from the ascent of Adummim and goes down "to the stone of Bohan the son of Reuben" (Josh 18:17). The same landmark fixes both lines: what is the high point of Judah's northern edge is the low point of Benjamin's southern edge, and the stone of Bohan stands at the place where the two allotments meet.
