Buzzi
Buzzi is named once, identified as the father of the prophet Ezekiel. UPDV spells the name "Buzi" at the single occurrence.
Father of Ezekiel
The opening of Ezekiel locates the prophet by family, office, and exile setting: "the word of Yahweh came expressly to Ezekiel the priest, the son of Buzi, in the land of the Chaldeans by the river Chebar; and the hand of Yahweh was there on him" (Ezek 1:3). The patronymic "the son of Buzi" fixes Ezekiel by his line. Beyond this single mention, the father is not described further; the verse preserves only his name and his relationship to the priestly prophet who received Yahweh's word in Babylonian exile.
