Carcas
Carcas is one of the seven Persian chamberlains who served King Ahasuerus, named once in Esther.
One of the Seven Chamberlains
The opening of Esther sets the scene at the king's banquet and lists the personal attendants summoned to the wine: "On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, and Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, the seven chamberlains that ministered in the presence of Ahasuerus the king," (Es 1:10). Carcas is the seventh in the list, ranked among the king's inner-court servants.
