Carpus
Carpus is a Christian named once in the New Testament. He lives at Troas, where Paul, in the closing instructions of his last letter to Timothy, recalls leaving a cloak — and the books — in his keeping.
A Friend at Troas
The single notice comes in 2 Tim 4:13: "The cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus, bring when you come, and the books, especially the parchments." Nothing more is recorded of him. He is the host who kept Paul's belongings between visits, the kind of unobtrusive companion the apostolic mission relied on but rarely names.
