Cephas

Cephas is the Aramaic name Jesus gave to Simon son of Jonah, meaning "rock"; it is the same name rendered in Greek as Peter. Paul uses Cephas alongside Peter in the epistles, but both refer to the apostle and fisherman from Bethsaida.
