Charge

A charge is the solemn commission delivered to those set apart for sacred service, binding them to faithful preaching, vigilant oversight, and patient endurance in their calling. Scripture frames such charges as accountable trusts, given before God and witnesses, that shape the duties and conduct expected of ministers.
