Chesed
Chesed appears once in scripture, as one of the sons of Abraham's brother Nahor.
Son of Nahor
Word reaches Abraham about his brother's family back in Mesopotamia: "And it came to pass after these things, that it was told Abraham, saying, Look, Milcah, she also has borne sons to your brother Nahor" (Genesis 22:20). The list begins with the elder sons — "Uz his firstborn, and Buz his brother, and Kemuel the father of Aram" (Genesis 22:21) — and continues, "And Chesed, and Hazo, and Pildash, and Jidlaph, and Bethuel" (Genesis 22:22). Chesed is the fourth of the eight sons Milcah bore to Nahor; nothing further is recorded of him.
