Chozeba
Chozeba — spelled Cozeba in the UPDV — is a Judahite town named once, in a fragmentary genealogical note preserved among the descendants of Shelah son of Judah.
A Town in Judah
The Chronicler records: "and Jokim, and the men of Cozeba, and Joash, and Saraph, who had dominion in Moab. And they returned to Lehem. And the records are ancient" (1Chr 4:22). The verse links Cozeba's men to figures who once held authority in Moab, then returned home. The place is elsewhere connected with the spellings Chezib (see Gen 38:5) and Achzib (see Josh 15:44, Mic 1:14), grouped under separate entries.
