The umbrella collects the institution of the Israelite calendar, the moment when the reckoning of months and years was given a fixed starting point.

The Jewish Year Instituted

On the eve of the Exodus, Yahweh resets Israel's calendar around the month of deliverance: "This month will be to you⁺ the beginning of months: it will be the first month of the year to you⁺" (Exod 12:2).
