Dabbasheth
Dabbasheth is a single point on a boundary line. It appears once, in the surveyor's catalog of where the tribe of Zebulun's territory touches its neighbors. UPDV spells the name "Dabbesheth."
A Marker on Zebulun's Border
The verse traces the border westward through a sequence of named features: "and their border went up westward, even to Maralah, and reached to Dabbesheth; and it reached to the brook that is before Jokneam" (Jos 19:11). Dabbesheth sits between Maralah and the brook by Jokneam — a fixed waypoint in the allotment grid. Nothing of the place itself is described; what the text records is its function as a corner-stake in the partition of the land among the tribes.
