Damned

Damned in the older English biblical sense names those under divine condemnation — the wicked who, refusing to repent, fall under the temporal and eternal judgment scripture pronounces against unrighteousness. The biblical witness gathers warnings of judgment, instances of the wicked overtaken by retribution in this life, and the final sentence pronounced upon them in the day of Yahweh.
