Deformity

Deformity in scripture refers to a physical defect or bodily flaw, particularly as it bore on Israel's worship: a son of Aaron with such a defect was barred from priestly service, and an animal with such a defect could not be offered as a sacrifice. The term also functions figuratively for moral and spiritual flaw set against the unblemished standard of holiness.
