Dehaites
The Dehaites are one of several peoples listed among the signatories of a complaint letter sent to the Persian king Artaxerxes against the rebuilding of Jerusalem (Ezra 4:9): "Rehum the chancellor, and Shimshai the scribe, and the rest of their fellow slaves, the Dinaites, and the Apharsathchites, the Tarpelites, the Apharsites, the Archevites, the Babylonians, the Shushanchites, the Dehaites, the Elamites."
The name appears only at this verse in UPDV. Their precise ethnic or geographic identity is uncertain; they are listed among the various peoples resettled in Samaria during the Assyrian and Babylonian periods.
