Deliverance
Deliverance describes God's act of rescuing his people out of trial, danger, oppression, and death — sometimes through dramatic intervention, often through the ordinary unfolding of his providence in answer to prayer. The theme runs from the patriarchs and the exodus through the prophets and into the apostolic letters, where the Lord is presented as faithful to deliver the godly out of trial and to bring them safely into his heavenly kingdom.
