Devil

The devil is the chief adversary of God and humankind — Satan himself, the tempter, the father of liars, the prince of this world — together with the host of unclean spirits who serve under him. Scripture distinguishes the singular adversary from the many demonic powers he heads, while binding both into one realm of darkness whose kingdom the gospel announces as already overthrown and finally to be destroyed.
