Dimon

Dimon is an alternate spelling of Dibon, the Moabite city on the northern banks of the Arnon — the form Isaiah uses in his oracle of judgment over Moab. The variant denotes the same place: a town allotted to Gad and Reuben after the conquest, later retaken by Moab, and lamented by the prophets when its glory came down.
