Driving
Driving as a recognizable, named manner of travel enters scripture in the watchman's report from the wall of Jezreel, where the way a chariot is driven is itself enough to identify the driver.
The driving of Jehu
When Joram sends a second messenger to meet the approaching column and that messenger also fails to return, the watchman over Jezreel describes what he sees by the cadence of the approach: "And the watchman told, saying, He came even to them, and didn't come back: and the driving is like the driving of Jehu the son of Nimshi; for he drives furiously" (2Ki 9:20). The pace is the signature. Before any banner or face is identifiable from the wall, Jehu is recognized by how he drives.
