Earnestness

Earnestness in scripture is the wholehearted, fervent pursuit of God's purposes — a quality exhibited by Moses, Phinehas, David, Elijah, Josiah, Ezra, Nehemiah, and many of the apostles, and commended in the New Testament epistles as the disposition that should mark every believer's service, prayer, and witness.
