East Wind
The east wind in scripture is the hot, scorching, and often destructive wind that blows from the desert across Egypt, the Euphrates valley, Canaan, and the lands east of the Jordan. It blasts crops, drives ships, and serves repeatedly as a figure for divine judgment, alongside the other directional winds — west, north, and south — that move through the biblical landscape.
