Eker

Eker appears once, in the Jerahmeelite branch of the Judah genealogy in 1 Chronicles.

A Son of Ram

The Chronicler lists three sons under Ram, the firstborn of Jerahmeel: "And the sons of Ram the firstborn of Jerahmeel were Maaz, and Jamin, and Eker" (1Ch 2:27). Eker is the third-named brother in that triad. No further notice is taken of him; the line does not lead anywhere the Chronicler develops, and the name surfaces only here in the genealogical roll of Judah's descendants.
