Eldaah

Eldaah is a descendant of Abraham through Keturah, named in the Midianite line. He appears only in genealogical lists, sharing the same five-name register in both occurrences.

Son of Midian

Eldaah is the fifth son of Midian, who is himself a son of Abraham by Keturah: "And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah" (Gen 25:4). The Chronicler repeats the list verbatim: "And the sons of Midian: Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah" (1Ch 1:33). The doublet places Eldaah firmly in the Abrahamic-Keturah branch, alongside the other Midianite clans.
