Elihoreph
Elihoreph appears once in scripture, named among the senior officials of King Solomon's administration.
Scribe in Solomon's Court
The opening of 1 Kings 4 lists the men who held office under Solomon: a priest, scribes, a recorder, a commander of the army, two priests, an officer over the district governors, a chief ruler called the king's friend, a steward over the household, and an overseer of forced labor. Elihoreph is named among the scribes: "Elihoreph and Ahijah, the sons of Shisha, scribes; Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud, the recorder" (1Ki 4:3).
He and his brother Ahijah inherit the scribal office through their father Shisha, and the pairing of brother-scribes places the family at the center of Solomon's secretariat. Beyond this single notice, no further action of Elihoreph is recorded.
