Eliud
Eliud is named only in the genealogy of Jesus, in the stretch of post-exilic ancestors leading down to Joseph.
Ancestor of Jesus
Matthew's genealogy threads him into the line between Achim and Eleazar: "and Azor begot Zadok; and Zadok begot Achim; and Achim begot Eliud; and Eliud begot Eleazar; and Eleazar begot Matthan; and Matthan begot Jacob;" (Mt 1:14-15). His place is fixed by the begetting formula on either side — son of Achim, father of Eleazar — and that one link is everything the text records of him.
